Welcome to my practice, a place where art and medicine meet.
I wanted to be an artist when I was a little girl, but to their credit, my parents convinced me that my talents lied in the Art of Medicine and not the art of painting.
Alas, I am no Picasso. Yet I have continued being artistic and creative and I have managed to translate this into my life as a Doctor. Whether it is helping you smooth out a wrinkle, lose a few kilograms or make you smile, I am here to help you feel cared for on both a physical and psychological level.
I am an experienced, caring and compassionate General Practitioner, who takes a holistic approach to medicine. I am married with 3 teenage children (who has added to my life experience in ways that I would never have imagined) and I have travelled for many years, working all over the world, but particularly in South Africa, the UK and most recently in Australia. I love being a GP as I can follow my particular interests and practice aesthetic medicine, emergency medicine, manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, help with fatigue and weight loss management and council people who struggle with mental health issues.

For as long as I can remember it has always been a passion of mine to make people feel good about themselves. Caring Skin is the side of Muse devoted to personal beauty and pampering, a caring space dedicated to you.
I want to inspire and motivate you to add self-care into your routine. Make it a habit to take time to look after yourself and you will begin to see and feel the benefits of putting yourself first.

Vanessa
Dietician
Vanessa McEwan is a Registered Dietitian with an added Exercise Teachers Association (ETA) qualification as a Group Exercise Instructor. She has always believed that good nutrition and keeping active are the cornerstones to longevity!
Vanessa has worked abroad in the UK at various NHS hospitals and has 10 years involvement with the nutrition pharmaceutical industry.
Locally, here in Cape Town, she has been working in private practice at four different hospitals for the past 16 years successfully assisting patients in the various fields of nutrition.
She has presented at the annual SASPEN Critical Care congress and regularly presents talks at corporate wellness days as well as host webinars on nutrition.
She has completed the Life-Long Learning (LLL) program in Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism hosted by ESPEN.
She has a very special interest in gastrointestinal (GIT) disorders, especially Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). She is also part of the nutrition team at the Osteoporosis Institute at Louis Leipoldt Mediclinic.
She shares Dr Van Zyl’s passion for health, fitness and weight control and has joined the MUSE family to help achieve this for all the patients!

Suné brings over 13 years of experience as a dedicated lecturer in the beauty and wellness industry. With a passion for organisation and a natural flair for administration, she seamlessly transitioned into roles focused on operational excellence, including managing registrations, developing policies, and implementing online training platforms.
She joined Muse Wellness Clinic because of her shared passion with Dr. Nicolette for the art of medicine and the holistic care of patients. Suné is inspired by the clinic’s commitment to blending the science of aesthetics with a personalised, artistic approach to wellness.
Suné is committed to ensuring every client enjoys a seamless, professional experience from start to finish.

Isabel
Receptionist
Isabel is a student doing part time work @ Muse on Tuesday and Thursday mornings as a secretary and Doctor’s assistant. Isabel completed Matric in 2023 and and has started studying a BCom degree whilst also doing modelling in her spare time.
She loves reading, music and sketching and she has a lovely friendly demeanour to make you all feel relaxed and cared for @ Muse.
