Yes, Dr van Zyl can provide you with a script if you are a known patient of the Practice, provided it is for relevant or chronic medication. Scripts will be e-mailed to the Pharmacy of your choice. You may need to pick up the original script later. There is a small charge for this service.

Please settle your account at the time of your consultation. You will immediately get a statement that you can submit to your medical insurance for reimbursement, which you need to manage yourself. Please provide the Practice with all the relevant medical aid details before your consultation.

Dr Nicolette completed her first Aesthetic “Botox Injecting course” in 2012.

Since then, she has been practicing Aesthetic Medicine alongside her GP Practice as well as working in Emergency Medicine.

She completed her Advanced Aesthetic Certificate in Australia and attends numerous workshops throughout the year to keep up to date with the latest technology and injection techniques.

In 2022 she attended a Cosmeceutical Bootcamp and Facial Anatomy Dissection course to further her knowledge and skill.

Dr Van Zyl uses either Botox® or Dysport® or Xeomin® for anti-wrinkle injections. For Filler treatment there are a wide range of different products available, she will discuss the different fillers with you during your appointment, if you want a particular product, please let us know a week in advance.

Depending on the product used you may see the results within a few days, otherwise it may take a week up to a maximum of 2 weeks before the final effect is seen. The treatment effect will last roughly 4 months.

Most people have a mild red flush or “red spots” in the area where they were injected, this “flush” usually disappears within an hour. There is a small chance that you may get a bruise at the injection site. There is always a very small risk of infection with any injectable treatment.

HA is a naturally occurring substance in your body, it is a type of sugar that draws water and keeps your skin hydrated and “plump”. It is a natural substance that can be applied superficially as a cream/serum or injected into the skin with a very low risk of allergic reactions.
